The Book of Eli

In a post apocalyptic future, a loan man travels the desolate roads on a solitary quest. The man known only as Eli (Denzel Washington), has been travelling west for decades on a mission of faith after receiving what he believes to be a mission of divine origin.

The solitary life of Eli is interrupted now and then by bandits that roam the lands causing death and mayhem to all those unfortunate enough to cross their path.

This often ends very badly for the bandits as Eli is highly skilled at def… Continue

A Christmas Carol

The timeless classic A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens has been one of the most beloved and adapted stories in history. There have been numerous movies, plays, radio, and television shows that have told the story for several generations as well as adapted films such as “Scrooged” and “Ghosts of Girlfriends Past” which were inspired by the timeless tale of redemption.

The latest version of the film was created by Director Robert Zemeckis (who also wrote the screenplay for the film.) and prese… Continue

Shattered Horizon Interview

Recently I spoke with Antti Summala, lead designer on Shattered Horizon. Shattered Horizon is a multiplayer first-person shooter for PCs that tasks players to battle in the zero gravity of near-Earth space.

A closed beta test has just started. Some of the details below
may change before the game’s final release.

GVK: What is the background and setting for the game?

The events in Shattered Horizon take place 40 years from now. In the game world, Man is back on the Moon and the companies that t… Continue

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

It has been nearly two years since fans last witnessed Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe), battle the evil Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes). At long last, J.K. Rowling’s beloved saga continues with “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince”. The film picks up a year after the events of the previous film with the evil Death Eaters wreaking havoc in both the magica and Muggle (non-wizard) world. Their wave of terror is so complete that parents are afraid to send their students back to Hogwarts to complete the… Continue

Maggie VanderBerghe talks about "Aliens in the Attic"

GVK: What can you tell us about “Aliens in the Attic” and what attracted you to the part?

It was really exciting to audition for the film because the scene and the part I was auditioning for was so funny! I have been focusing more on comedy recently, so it was really fun for me to get to work on a comedic role.

GVK: How was it acting with FX to be added later and what sort of challenges did you have with it?

I actually didn’t have any special FX in my scene in Aliens in the Attic though I did… Continue

Darkest of Days Game Interview

Recently I got the chance to talk with the talent behind the pending 3D Shooter Darkest of Days. I want to thank Jerry for setting up the interview and the team for providing the answers.

GVK: What is the background and setting for the game?

Antietam . . . Little Big Horn . . . Pompeii, these are certainly some of humanity’s “Darkest of Days”. When time travel is first invented by a company called KronoteK, research teams are sent back to further document these events. While there, they discov… Continue

Pete Hines of Bethsoft talks about the Id Software Merger

Recently I got the chance to speak with Pete Hines, VP Marketing and Public Relations at Bethesda Softworks about the big merger between Zenimax and ID Software. I want to thank Pete for answering my questions and to Tracey for arranging the interview.

GVK: What brought about the move as ID had been a powerhouse independent for years?

I think we both saw a situation where we had two companies with similar cultures, similar philosophies on how to succeed in this business, and we could play to e… Continue

Bruno

Life is good for Austrian fashonista Bruno (Sacha Baron Cohen). As the star of the top Austrian fashion show, he is a fixture at all of the social events and is the flamboyant highpoint of any event he graces.
That is until things go awry and Bruno finds himself on the outside looking in and is blacklisted from the European fashion industry he lives for.

Undaunted, Bruno sets out to become a star and take America by storm in the shockingly outrageous and sure to be controversial “Bruno”. The fi… Continue

Hello,

I just wanted to introduce myself to you and tell you about a NEW TV show I have currently running. It's a trial run to see what type of response we get from our viewers. If satisfactory, we'll have a chance to pitch it to the networks for next year.

"Digital Transition" SciFi/Action, judge it for yourself. Episode 1 & 2 are now running and the next episode will start running October 17, 2009.
