"I play Faith which is actually my middle name. My mom when I got the role said, Of course her name is Faith. How many times as an actor I have tried out for roles for characters named Jackie, who are crazy east coast wiseasses and they cast Tori Spelling instead.

There's Tickle-Me Elmo but we have our own doll with his own horrifically offensive name. In Postal We have the Crotchy doll. Faith is this kind of really dark, gothic anarchist. She maintains this snarky edge. She is by no means a killer or Satan worshipper. She's a girl that is too dark for society, She works at the local coffee shop. All the leads in the movie frequent this chain.

"She has this kind of breakdown scene where she personally goes Postal because everybody has their time when they go nuts. It's this one innocent guy is the straw that breaks the camel's back. He takes too long to order his latte. He is the guy that your standing behind in line at Starbucks when he gets to the front he starts looking at the board. "Dude, you have ten minutes to stand in line then you get to the front, and you just start reading now!. She grabs him by the collar, "You have ten minutes to make up your mind, You're not buying a car!!! She bugs out on this one guy. All we can hope is that people get the joke.

When you start making fun of everybody, one group can's really raise their tails and go, We're really pissed. Everyone is really super sensitive of their own kind. Uwe is not just picking on one group, either the right, the left, the middle or whatever the case maybe for you.

Uwe is an experience as a human. Here is this kind of guy who's viewed as this mean German director who will box anyone who says bad things about him in a cap and some tight leather for the film. He is someone who is not afraid to make fun of everyone under the sun. He has a good time. He likes to laugh.

I've been hanging this week with Dave Foley from Kids In The Hall. He is just classic. I think of all the sketches that he's been in when I look at him. He's so much funnier no matter what he says. I'm a little kid in a candy store. Chris Coppola is super fun. Dave Foley plays this religious cult leader. He creates a religion and writes this book. His biggest follower is this guy played by Chris Coppola. Not one of the Coppola's, not related but I'm sure it hasn't hurt. He's really funny. Chris Spencer is funny and Ralf Moeller, the ex-heavy weight Mr Universe. He's such a good guy. Such a gentle giant. He's got to be at least eight foot seven. Good ole Seymour Cassel. It is chock full of really good character actors who are really good at what they do."

Zack Ward Interview

Postal Dude is a tall angly scrapper who's never been given a chance in his life. You might have put my name there. He's the exact type of individual who's led the same type of life that I might have led. always the odd man out. Being red haired slightly albino-esque, you don't fit the norm. You'e always the other white meat. What I love about
the character is that he goes
from the underdog to Clint
Eastwood in Dirty Harry
.

He's not having those moments like "Bring the pain" (In Eastwood imitation voice) He's not trying to be a tough guy. He's just getting it done because he doesn't care anymore then he gets to the point where he snaps. That's the Postal Dude. I think everyone can relate to that.

We find every scared cow and we turn them into hamburger. People are going to be conflicted and they will have an opinion one way or another. They will say that things like, "I think they went to far or your not supposed to say that." I think that's great.

Imagine Team America with live action. That amount of violence, that amount of comedy. It seems like you're able to do that in cartoons like South Park, Family Guy or puppets, but you're not allowed to do that in person. I look at people like Lenny Bruce or Richard Pryor and the people who are still remembered fifty years later from when they started, are people who took risks and did things. Look at Dr Strangelove. Look at Kubrick. Look at Dude, Where's My Car. Do you really think that this is a film we will talk about in ten years ? It's crap. We have tits in this, we have funny. We gave things people will be talking about the next day. And will want to see over and over again as opposed to letting it file away under uninteresting and nobody cares.

Politically, the United States has its head right up its ass. It's become so polarized between the Democrats and Republicans. Christian, far right and far left, that no one can even talk to each other anymore. And that was really the bedrock on which the United States was founded, that idea of freedom of speech. I may disagree with what you have to say, but I will fight to the death for your right to say it. Now they have gotten so PC and yet at the same time, (President) Bush is a douche. He becomes more and more douchey as the days go by. There is no proof in the pudding of anything that he did in Iraq. But people don't have conversations about it. A movie like this where we really dig in and have an opinion, people will be pissed but people will like it.

I disagree with the KKK. Half of my family and step family is black. But I am very proud that they can walk down the street and say that they hate the Jews and the blacks. Because that's their right.

Our forefathers didn't get on the TV and the phone and say to drop bombs on a foreign nation. They picked up a musket and went into the fields. They put their shit at risk. And nobody does that anymore.
