Stargate TV Episode Picks

As Colonel Jack O'Neill and his team journey to Abydos to confront deadly warriors and laser-firing Death Gliders, O'Neill realizes that this new mission seems hauntingly familiar and that an old enemy has returned to take his revenge on Earth. Colonel Jack O'Neill, leading the new SG-1, tracks Apophis back to the planet Chulak to rescue Sha're and Skaara.

I've tried, really. The damn show is so poorly lit I can't see most of what's going on. It's one of the reasons I stopped watching X-Files. I understand they're in deep space on a damaged ship, but they must have lights somewhere. It's annoying, as though they don't want the audience to see. Maybe they think we'll be able to fill in a story where one may not actually exist. The chief scientist is just creepy. Snarky I can handle, but this guy has some serious problems.

I watched Stargate universe last week and the chief Scientist got his butt kicked and was left on a distant plant. I hope they don't go back and get him, maybe now he will wake up and smell the coffee. Now he will see what it is like to be all alone. He is a loner so maybe he will adjust.

Watched last night's episode (10-23) and it was quite a bit better. Still, three episodes to get the ship repowered does seem to be stretching it a bit. Hopefully things will move along at a little faster pace. If done right, this could be as good as the original series.

I've watched the first two episodes and frankly find that it is not living up to the hype. One was expecting an action-packed adventure and so far it is neither action-packed nor an adventure. You have a cast of characters where everybody seems to have a chip on his or her shoulder. They are on a space ship that has run out of power and these people can't work together? A chief scientist who seems to think everybody else is a moron. A computer whiz who so far has managed only to get a recording device going. A commanding officer who doesn't appear to be a main character, who with their personality-switching device goes to earth and tries to make up with his wife as if the fate of the space ship didn't matter. Perhaps this could all be worked out in a written novel but not on a television series.
