The Avengers

Jeremy Renner Talks Avengers Transcript

Does that – do you get the feel of an ensemble movie from “The Avengers” -

JEREMY RENNER:  Huge, huge – I mean, look at how many characters are in that thing.  It was the ultimate challenge for Josh Whedon, who’s, you know, knows that universe so well – no one better to write it.  And he was so challenged and – to write and direct that thing, to – I don’t know how you put that many characters in a movie like that.  It’s immense.  But you know, with that, so you know, you have to sort of pass the baton; you get to work with very few of them, because everybody’s got their own thing kind of going on; someone’s in the air, flying around; I’m on the ground, shooting a bow and arrow, and whatever – there’s a lot of things happening.  So like I have no idea what that movie looks like.

And how do you feel, being one of the Avengers?

JEREMY RENNER:  You know, it’s a great – great – like, it’s an amazing cast.  And I wish I got to do more with them.  But you know, I had fun with the people I did get to work with.

Other than him being the coolest human being who ever lived, what’s the people of -

The Avengers Pics And At New York Comic Con

On October 15th, at New York Comic Con I attended the panel for Avengers. Attending were Marvel Studio President Kevin Feige, Chris Evans, Colbie Smulders, Tom Hiddleston, Mark Ruffalo, and Clark Gregg.

Highlights were: Clark Gregg singing the Avengers theme song, Tom Hiddleston being wooed by the fans, Mark Ruffalo explaining that he Rufflized his performance as Bruce Banner and the Hulk’s performance was his performance capture. There was a nice clip where Black Widow attempts to recruit Dr. Bruce Banner. Ruffalo did a very decent job in the scene.

Dennis Gansel Films

We are the night

Interesting films from interesting director here is the official release:

German director Dennis Gansel: WE ARE THE NIGHT, a sexy and suspenseful thriller about a young woman initiated into a trio of beautiful female vampires, and THE WAVE, a story of a high school experiment in fascism gone badly wrong.

Both films are making their way to U.S. audiences following commercially successful runs in Europe and will have nationwide VOD releases and a limited theatrical run.

A sexy, suspenseful and adrenaline pumping vampire film, WE ARE THE NIGHT is an edgy tale of a provocative gang of female vampires living large, making their own rules and leaving a merciless trail of blood.  The film centers on a 20-year-old Berlin native LENA (Karoline Herfurth) who gets by as a petty thief.  On one of her nightly job runs through an underground club, she meets 250-year-old LOUISE (Nina Hoss). Don’t let her age fool you. LOUISE is a glamorous vixen, who is not only the owner of the club, but also the leader of an unusual all-female vampire trio – the other two members being wild child NORA (Anna Fischer) and elegant CHARLOTTE (Jennifer Ulrich). Louise falls head over heels in love with the scruffy Lena and bites her during their first night together. Once bitten, LENA discovers the curse and the blessing of her new, eternal life. She revels in the glamour, parties and infinite freedom. But she quickly discovers that the endless blood thirst and murderous appetite of her new girlfriends come at a steep price. When Berlin police commissioner TOM SERNER (Max Riemelt) begins investigating the women, it is just a matter of time before their day comes and events spiral out of control.

Based on Morton Rhue’s classic youth novel which has been required reading material in many German schools for years, THE WAVE is a work of fiction, but one based in fact: the original experiment was conducted by history teacher Ron Jones at Cubberley High School in Palo Alto, CA in 1967.   With the setting updated to contemporary German, a high school teacher (Jürgen Vogel) comes up with an experiment in order to explain to his students how totalitarian governments work. A role-playing game with tragic results begins. Within a few days, what began with harmless notions like discipline and community builds into a real movement: THE WAVE. By the third day, the students start ostracizing and threatening others. When the conflict finally erupts into violence at an intramural water polo game, the teacher decides to break off the experiment. But it’s too late. THE WAVE is out of control…THE WAVE premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.

Jack The Giant Killer

DIRECTOR BRYAN SINGER IN PRODUCTION
ON 3D EPIC ACTION ADVENTURE “JACK THE GIANT KILLER

Stars Nicholas Hoult, Eleanor Tomlinson, Stanley Tucci,Ian McShane,
Bill Nighy and Ewan McGregor

Principal photography is underway in London on acclaimed filmmaker Bryan Singer’s 3D epic action adventure “Jack the Giant Killer,” with Nicholas Hoult in the title role of Jack, for New Line Cinema and Legendary Pictures.

“Jack the Giant Killer” tells the story of an ancient war that is reignited when a young farmhand unwittingly opens a gateway between our world and a fearsome race of giants. Unleashed on the Earth for the first time in centuries, the giants strive to reclaim the land they once lost, forcing the young man, Jack, into the battle of his life to stop them. Fighting for a kingdom, its people, and the love of a brave princess, he comes face to face with the unstoppable warriors he thought only existed in legend—and gets the chance to become a legend himself.

Hoult and Singer recently collaborated on the Singer-produced “X-Men: First Class,” for release later this year. “Jack the Giant Killer” also stars Eleanor Tomlinson as Princess Isabelle; Stanley Tucci (“Captain America: The First Avenger,” “Julie & Julia”) as the deceitful Lord Roderick; Ian McShane (“Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides,” HBO’s “Deadwood”) as the besieged King Brahmwell; Bill Nighy (“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows”) as the giants’ leader General Fallon; and Ewan McGregor (“Star Wars,” “The Ghost Writer“) as palace guard Elmont.

Singer will direct from a screenplay by Darren Lemke and Christopher McQuarrie and Dan Studney, story by Darren Lemke & David Dobkin. The film will be produced by Neal Moritz, David Dobkin, Bryan Singer and Patrick McCormick.

The creative filmmaking team includes Singer’s longtime collaborators, director of photography Newton Thomas Sigel (“X-Men,” “Superman Returns”) and editor John Ottman (“X2,” “Superman Returns”). The production designer is Gavin Bocquet (“Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith“).

“Jack the Giant Killer” is filming on location in and around London, and is scheduled for a summer 2012 release.

A New Line Cinema presentation, in association with Legendary Pictures, the film will be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures, a Warner Bros. Entertainment Company.
